The First Boudoir and a DiscountJuly 13, 2012

Recently I had the privilege of meeting a few of the lovely ladies in Ashley Greenway’s group of Army Wives.  Never had I met a group filled with such strong women. In fact I get to do a couple boudoir shoots for a few of them to send to their brave husbands across seas!

These beautiful women have inspired me to offer a Military Discount. With your military ID you will now be able to get 20% off any portrait session! So come on ladies and gents! Book your families next portrait session or maybe even get some photos done to send to your favorite soldier.

But onto the post below. Meet Brooklynn, isn’t she beautiful? For a mother of two, who just popped one out only a couple of months before this shoot she is in amazing shape. The photos were done as a one year wedding anniversary gift for her husband. This I thought was a great idea especially since the customary gift for one year is something made of paper. She was a great model, so happy and sweet. I think we were both a little nervous at the beginning of the shoot. But I think the end result turned out quite well. What do you think?

Ashley + BrandonJune 6, 2012

A couple of weekends ago I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of a friend of mine. It was one of the cutest DIY weddings I have ever had the good fortune of attending or photographing. She made all of her flowers out of paper, the bouquets and table decorations included! It was hosted in the backyard of the grooms mothers home and it was an amazingly beautiful day for it. The ring bearers were her two handsome little boys and the flower girls were his adorable daughter and niece.  The entire family chipped in the day of the wedding, setting it up, making the food and keep the little ones entertained. It really was a family celebration and a wonderful way to start their lives together.

To Ashely,
I am so happy you finally found your one. I have never seen you so happy and it warms me to know that the two of you have joined such loving families. I wish you all the happiness in the years to come. Congratulations!

To Brandon,
From the few short encounters I have had with you, I know you will make Ashley one happy lady and be an amazing father to those two boys.

And now, what you have been waiting for! Some of my favorite shots from the day of!

If you attended the wedding take this opportunity to share some of your favorite memories of the day or just leave a comment telling me what you think down below!

Bay + BrodyMay 24, 2012

I’ve got a brand new camera! It is a Canon 5D mark II! It is such an amazing piece of technology. I needed some subjects to help me get used to it before the next wedding and Ashley and the kiddos were kind enough to lend me their time and lovely faces and in return they now have some lovely photos to send to Dad. Tomorrows post will be dedicated to another special family as they come together as one! But in the meantime, here is our afternoon of fun in the park.

The Greenway FamilyMay 24, 2012

This spring I had the wonderful opportunity to take the family portraits of the beautiful Greenway Family.  Ashley and Kyle are two of the strongest people I know and are raising two of the most adorable children I have the privilege of knowing. The photos were done as the last family portraits before Kyle is to be deployed for a year. So lets keep the Greenway’s in our prayers, both that Kyle will be kept safe and that Ashley can stay sane raising those two rugrats on her own.

Winter Wonderland 2012January 19, 2012

Last weekend I had the privilege  of getting to take the senior photos of my boyfriends beautiful sister Erin.  She is not a senior yet but she wanted to get some fun winter shots for a little something different, so we decided to get them done now so she doesn’t have to wait until she is half way done with her senior year.  Erin was such a great sport putting up with the cold wind and nearly freezing her poor fingers off while I got to be warm and toasty in my parka and gloves.  Sadly the session ended up getting cut short due to the snow becoming to heavy to get photos without the snow taking over the foreground of the photo. Hopefully she will give me another chance to get some more photos yet this winter and maybe some this summer as well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photos, I know I had fun taking them and editing them. She has such a beautiful smile and fun personality, I think it really came through in the photos. I look forward to hearing what you think!

Hi, I am Charity Schwartz. I am a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design. I have a degree in Fine Art Photography but I picked up a few graphic design tricks along the way. I am a documentary wedding and senior portrait photographer located in Holland, MI. I shoot with a Canon 50D, but I also have proficient skills in film. It is my goal as a wedding photographer to provide my clients with photos that capture the special moments of their wedding day so that they can look on them for years to come.

Holland Tulip Time 2011October 22, 2011

These past few days have been so cold and wet and currently being cooped up in the hospital for some testing has made me nostalgic for the beautiful day that I shot these photos last spring.

I live in a wonderful city. Holland is the perfect size to grow up in, not too big but definitely not too small. Now I may not have thought that when I was growing up here but looking back I have grown to appreciate this wonderful city’s little quirks. One of them being it’s Dutch heritage. I’ll admit when I was younger I just saw our annual Tulip Time Festival as a way to get out of school and a big nuisance when it came to parking and driving downtown that week.

But now I can say that I genuinely enjoy the festivities. I mean I participated in the “authentic” dutch dancing when I was in high school, but that was a mere ploy to get out of more school. Now I like to go downtown and enjoy the beautiful spring colors, induldge in a carmel apple or elephant ear and watch the parades from the window of the New Holland Brewery while sipping on one of their many delicious beers (which was one of my first dates with my wonderful boyfriend, I just wasn’t aware of it at the time).

So sorry for keeping you waiting by bragging about the lovely place I call home. Here are the photos, I hope you all enjoy and I hope they hold you over till next spring like I am hoping they do for me.

Halloweens around the corner, what’s your plans?

Hillary + John (Part 2)October 16, 2011

Earlier last week I was in the mood for a nice fall photo shoot. Hillary and John were kind enough to help me out. The previous post was the first part of the shoot where we did a fake engagement shoot and then using my wonderful mothers old wedding dress and an old corduroy suit that my mother made my dad back in the day we staged a fake wedding shoot. The following images are just that.

I hope you all enjoy I know I did while shooting and editing.
